I’m an investigative data journalist based in California

Based in California since 2021, I currently work as a data reporter for Big Local News at Stanford University, where I received my MA in Data Journalism.

Applying my data skills, I joined forces with Reuters, where I covered climate finance, analyzing data trends and turning them into an extensive global investigation.

I left my home country of Spain in 2014, to pursue my career as a reporter in France.

For almost 7 years, I managed the Spanish news section of Mediapart, as its chief editor. As a freelance correspondent based in Paris, I followed French politics, covered social protests, monitored economic issues and narrated cultural events for several publications such as El Confidencial, El Periodico de Cataluña and El Español. I covered breaking news for broadcasting channels such as CNN in Spanish, Univision, Antena 3 and RCN. I reported on politics, social and cultural news for several radio stations like Cadena SER and RFI. Occasionally, I also immersed myself in Spanish politics, reporting in French mainly for Mediapart.

I have produced news content in Spanish, English and French across all mediums. I am proficient in gathering, standardizing, analyzing and visualizing data using mainly Python.
